If I buy a phone exclusive to one carrier, can I use it with a different carrier?

For example, I have the Cingular Carrier, but they don’t have any GREAT phones out there right now. I like this phone exclusive to Sprint (the Fusic) and I wodner if I can buy the phone from Sprint and put my Cingular simcard in? Will it work? Thanks in advanced.

NO! I’m sorry, but Sprint is a CDMA carrier, meaning the phone has NO SIM card! If you have a friend who has any phone with Sprint or Verizon, check the phone where the SIM card should be; you’ll notice it has no SIM card; this is because sprint uses the computer to program the information into the phone, instead of a SIM card.
