King Arthur’s Excalibur vs. Thor’s hammer?

What would happen Arthur’s Excalibur and Thor’s hammer strike together at full force? Would Excalibur be shattered since the sword was not made by god? Thor’s hammer power could produce lightning, call weather, and enable him to fly or teleport. What exactly cool magical powers does the Excalibur possess other than the symbol of kingship? Anyone could remember the powers based on the original myth, novels, movies, and comics? Oh by the way, does that sword actually exist?

Excalibur was given to Merlin by The Lady of the Lake and attributed with magical powers and associated with the rightful sovereignty of Great Britain. It was returned to The Lady of the Lake upon Arthur’s death. When Excalibur was first drawn, Arthur’s enemies were blinded by its blade, which was as bright as thirty torches. Excalibur’s scabbard was said to have powers of its own. Injuries from losses of blood, for example, would not kill the bearer. In some tellings, wounds received by one wearing the scabbard did not bleed at all.

Thor, was god of the sky, the ruler of storms and the deliverer of thunderbolts and rain;but Thor was also the protector of the universe. He guarded the world with his mighty hammer, Mjööllnir (meaning the crusher or destroyer). His main enemy were the giants and serpents that lurked in the underworld. The hammer hit whatever object it was aimed at and always returned to Thor’s hand. Thor also had a magical belt named Megingiord. When worn in battle, it doubled his strength against the enemy. Thor’s Hammer was more than a symbol of his supernatural strength. It was worn as a necklace or pendant and would protect the wearer from danger.

Interesting question–have a star! Both items were intended to be used for good. So, if they were used against each other. . . they would not be fulfilling their purpose; in other words, not serving their purpose for being. . . and would be rendered useless (at least that’s what I would LIKE to think would happen–otherwise, Excalibur wouldn’t have a chance–I say this with all due respect to Excalibur–but I am lightningelemental, after all.)
